Bighton Village Fete

The last summer fete of the season and as always the sun was shining …
What a lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon. Bighton village closed the fete season and turned out in force on a breezy, sunny afternoon to entertain locals and visitors alike.
So much effort and preparation must have gone into this afternoon. There were upteen stalls, barbecue, bottles, tombola (Himself won twice), bonsai trees, llamas, doggy grand national (what a hoot, don’t know when I’ve laughed so much), books, honey, fairground rides for the children, harley rides, helicopter rides (you’d have had to pay me to go in one), bric-a-brac, teas (with glamorous tea ladies, well one anyway), and loads more. It was a real family fun afternoon.
I loved the lollipops – the vivid colours just epitomised the whole afternoon for me.
Thank you Bighton – hope to see you all next year.
