What a week …

of cushion-making!
Here are just a few in a bit more detail …
I actually finished 15 cushions in a week! That’s a record. Sunday is the Art & Design market in Winchester but the weather is threatening showers so I’m going to keep everything crossed that doesn’t rain for too long.
Next week I’m going to blog about something other than cushions and quilts. I’ve been doing a bit of shopping – parcels have been arriving from all over the world! We’ve been out and about for some lovely jaunts and I’ve been practising with my zoom lens.
Have a lovely Sunday.

What lovely cushions — I’m so jealous of your skills! Could you make a tutorial for cushions sometime? I’d love to learn how to make something other than just a big square of one fabric. And do you use any stitches on your machine other than straight stitch for these? My machine is so old that’s all it can do, so my projects are somewhat limited.

Misty is very special, but you may change your mind if you met her – she’s wonderful with her family but not too good with anybody else. She’s so pretty and cuddly looking, everyone wants to squash her!

I will do a cushion tutorial – maybe in a couple of weeks when I’m on holiday from college (my day job)! I do use pretty stitches, especially to sew the panels onto the cushion – like the lighthouse, hens and Flora cushions. I’d been sewing for years and years with a tiny Elna – straight stitch + zigzag only – but last November I invested in a huge new Janome Horizon https://adaliza.com/2011/11/17/why-wait/ – it’s transformed my sewing and I highly recommend treating yourself!
