works in progress …

I’ve been working on more cushions – some familiar designs and a new one with a seaside theme, left over from the summer!
I first designed my pretty little country cottages way back here!
and Flora has appeared on so many cushions – here she is with Liberty lawn on her wings!
And a new birdie design based on a photo I took back in the summer, with bunting too, just like here (on the lighthouse)
And a reminder of those balmy camping days of summer –
a retro caravan with banners & bunting flying in the breeze …
What do you think?
Back to the drawing board – there’s a dragon yet to be stitched, this evening!
What are your works in progress?

These are lovely – I like them all but am partial to the camper.

The campers are fun, aren’t they? I’d love one like these too!

Ooh very lovely, you are clever! I am hopeless at sewing, but you have really inspired me. Do I need a special sewing machine to do this? I hav a basic machine and also a small one for little projects, I’m wondering if these would be ok … I need to practise first!
Have a wonderful Wednesday

Lovely to hear from you Claire. You just need to lower the feed dogs (things that move the material through from the bottom plate), and use an embroidery foot (one with a hole in the middle). Then away you go!
