Surf’s up …

tide’s up and the sun is shining over the harbour
What a difference a day makes …
A thick blanket of sea-mist cloaked the harbour yesterday morning. The air was damp and still, the harbour quiet. It took almost all day to lift. Shafts of sunshine appeared over the ocean late in the afternoon and a gaff cutter caught the breeze …
In the morning, we jaunted through the mist to Truro, where seaside fabrics are to be found …
I feel a quilt coming on!

Thanks for popping by – those surfers are awesome and SO young! I’d have a green fit if it was my boys out there, but they seem to do very well and clamber over the rocks to go home for their tea. Some were out there as it was getting very dark last night – surfing by star-light!

Your pictures are so beautiful. I would love to spend a morning sipping some coffee and chatting with you by the harbour. It would be just lovely.

Porthleven is a beautiful village with the harbour at its heart. We love it there, as do our collies! There are certainly plenty of coffee shops and places to enjoy a cuppa with the view, too.
