January 2014 Quilts ::
Apple Blossom Time
Spring colours – throw off the winter blues and breathe deeply – the apple trees in the orchard are in bloom and you can practically smell the blossom as you snuggle under this quilt!
Chickadee
Lovely fat hens and rows of little chicks peck about amongst the daisies in the yard. I love the colours – jolly reds and comforting sage, bright greens and corn-coloured ditsy flowers.
Yee Ha Cowboys
A little boy’s quilt with scarlet stars, folk art hearts and a Cath Kidston cowboy print featuring galloping quarter horses, lasso riders and wagons – great stuff!
Acorn Wood
Squirrels nibbling acorns, hedgehogs & hoglets, toadstools, butterflies and birdies – you’ll find magic if you go down to the Acorn Wood.
Romance
I love a bit of romance – love birds, swallows, cameo tea roses and soft palettes of blues and oh-so-gentle pinks.
Lullaby
Butterflies flutter all about amongst the polka dots and spring blooms. Seriously – SOooooo pretty!
Barndance
A larger cowboy quilt with 2 feature fabrics as well as stars’n stripes, polka dots and those scarlet stars – a proper little boy’s quilt.
Carousel
Round and round go the colourful fairground horses amidst the striking reds and oranges, greens and blues – you’ll be able to hear the music as you drift off to sleep!
All my quilts are lightly wadded and fleece-backed for extra snuggling. Name labels are added to the reverse and the binding edges are all hand-stitched in the time-honoured, traditional way.
Every quilt is unique.
