Bringing in Spring …

After a perfect start to the day, aside from the need to find one of my teacosies,
And a lunchtime trip to Strictly Fit Steps which was, although working up a proper head of steam, heart-pumpingly brilliant, we bundled the girls (collies) into the car to take our daily walk around Farley Mount Country Park.
I couldn’t resist just a few budding pussy willows, from a broken branch then when we returned home, I rummaged in the cupboard (the one with only one door that opens, in the kitchen – don’t ask), and eventually found my little box of Easter/Spring hanging decorations. Right at the back, I also unearthed my vintage bunny jelly moulds – haven’t seen them for years! A few red twigs from the garden Cornus were gathered to make an Easter tree and along with today’s double bunch of daffs from Aldi (95p for 2), we’re looking rather jolly!
Although frosty this morning, the day’s been mild and we’ve enjoyed beautiful blue skies and sunshine. There’s a chicken roasting in the oven, for supper – nothing smells as good as roast chicken, so I’m going to potter in my studio for half an hour while there’s a bit of peace before sorting out the veg. Collies are both snoring rhythmically, after their long walk!
Enjoy your week – it’s flying by!
