Moonshine …

12/05/2017 § 1 Comment

Wednesday night was clear.  Stars twinkled and the moon was full.  May’s full moon is called the Flower Moon – don’t you just love that moons have names?

So far this year we’ve had January’s Wolf Moon, February’s Snow Moon (and it did snow just a little), March’s Sap Moon and April’s Pink Moon.

I went to sleep on Wednesday with moonshine in my room.  A mere sliver of light shining through a narrow chink in the curtains.  It was magical.  Before darkness fell, I’d had a wander around the garden and found to my delight, the first rose of the summer in bloom.

And the flowers just keep on coming  – clematis in full and glorious bloom, shy Sweet Woodruff in the shade and sweet Pansies in a basket.

Enjoy the weekend.  I’ll be in Alton tomorrow with some new quilts and cushions.
