forever!!!!!

The end of term was on Tuesday and I finally feel as though I’ve finished.  I’ve had some lovely cards and presents but it takes a special sort of friend to fill a box with goodies that she’ll know I’ll absolutely LOVE …

It’s been blistering hot, here in Winchester over the last few days.  I’ve even had to set up a temporary daytime sewing pitch out on the patio, under the cover of a very large parasol …

I’ve been enjoying all the roses, marguerites and my geraniums – poor sickly little plug plants, bought for a few discounted pennies a few months ago – have suddenly taken off and burst into huge blooms …

I finished another quilt yesterday.  I’ve called it Sugar Pips although many of you quilters out there will recognise the Sherbert Pips fabric – I chose the pinks and greys and whites and have used a vivid, fuschia pink fleece as the backing – bit too cosy for this weather, but it’ll soon be chilly again and we’ll need to get all homespun and warm again.  But in the meantime – here’s Sugar …

It’s a pincushion-making day today, ready for the Art & Design Market in Winchester on Sunday.  If you’re visiting Hampshire, then pop in and say Hello – town will be busy and parking is free, and there are SO many places to find some refreshments.
