Christmas time …

the clock is ticking towards that magical stocking-hanging hour…
Flora will hang a little stocking outside her henhouse on Christmas Eve, hoping for a few grapes as a special treat!
She point blank refused to wear a headscarf for a photoshoot in the garden this morning! The bandana thing rather suits her though, don’t you think? What a grumpy duck!
The first mince pies have been baked and gingerbread biscuit sleighs, ponies, snowflakes and a cottage are fresh out of the oven, ready for icing. The ham has been boiling all morning and is now clove-studded and marmalade-glazed, ready for a final roasting.
We spent a magical few days in Bath at the beginning of the week which set me up just perfectly for coming home, doing a day’s blitz on the house and shopping at midnight to avoid all the jostling and queues!
It’s almost a year since I started my blog and it’s been fun to look back through the year and my posts – Flora as a tiny little chick, walks in the New Forest, visits to Wales and so, so many cushions created – quite a few sewing machines used too! Over 4000 visits to Adalizaland you’ve made – I hope you’ve enjoyed them.
Take care and have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.
