Hi Adaliza, I found your blog through your Dala horse. Do you perhaps have any tutorial or pattern for the horse? I LOVE your Gypsy Rose blanket and will be trying this 🙂 thank you! Kind regards, Hanneke

  • adaliza says:

Hi – welcome to Adaliza-land! I don’t have a pattern for the horse – it took me a whole afternoon and evening. I started with a little circle for the nose and went from there. I seem to remember I made the legs separately and then joined them on. It’s totally made up as you go!

  • Beautiful afghans, I love the bright colors.

Hi, I found your blog following a comment you left about Janome 525s sewing machines. I want to buy a machine for general projects but especially so I can learn free motion embroidery. Do you still support it as a great buy? I have found the special edition for £259. Thanks for your assistance, Rachel

  • adaliza says:

I still think it’s an absolutely brilliant machine for freehand embroidery. Very soon, over here, I’ll be posting about a huge textile collage that I created entirely on the 525S. The machine doesn’t have lots of bells & whistles (needle down, auto thread cut etc), but it’s extremely reliable and hardy.
